GSM/Wi-Fi seamless hand-off
NewStep Networks and Paragon Wireless have completed interoperability certification for Paragon’s latest GSM/VoWLAN dual-mode handset hipi 2300 with an integrated voice call continuity (VCC) client.
This collaboration builds upon NewStep’s interoperability program, an initiative that further satisfies the market demand for true service convergence. NewStep actively engages in partnerships with various complementary handset manufacturers and third-party client suppliers to further extend the value chain that allows operators around the globe to use their networks to monetize the demands for fixed-mobile convergence.

The hipi-2300 is Paragon Wireless’ newest addition to its Microsoft Windows Mobile dual-mode handset technology. Using Paragon’s proven VoWLAN/GSM dual-mode technology, the hipi-2300 includes the Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system to further expand the usability and functionality of this extremely versatile smartphone.
