TechnoConcepts Inc. has received the first of several initial orders of its WiMAX evaluation platform (Part Number WMB:1.01). The newly released platform one programmable chipset can support Sprint’s AWS spectrum, Korean WiBRO at 2.3 GHz, European 2.5 GHz bands and Asian 3.5 GHz.

The release of the platform is timed to meet the forecasted high-growth rate in the WiMAX marketplace. The worldwide WiMAX equipment market is expected to increase to $5.6 billion in sales by 2010, up from $586 m in 2006.

“We just released our initial WiMAX evaluation platform a week ago and there has been a great response from the marketplace. To take this interest and turn it into initial sales so quickly is validation of our True Software Radio technology and valuation platform,” said chairman and CEO Antonio Turgeon.
