Trompeter, a manufacturer of high-performance, high-reliability 75-Ohm BNC connectors, has upgraded all of its full- size “suitcase” style tool kits with the replacement of the previous “suitcase” style container with the Rollabout tool kit case. The Rollabout provides installers a new hard-shell tool case equipped with smooth-rolling wheels and a retractable handle. The interior foam features three layers of protection, a hard layer for tool placement/position, a soft layer to cushion lateral tool movement, and an “egg-crate style” soft foam in the interior of the lid for vertical protection. It is fully lockable and waterproof.

The new Rollabout kit replaces the medium and large tool kits in Trompeter’s line of installation tooling products. Each kit can be custom ordered with an array of tools. As an example, the mainstream installer tool kit for a telco central office installer is the TLE0002DI0C1A20, and it includes the 700-0024 coax cable cutter, the 010-0098 center contact crimp tool, a battery-powered rechargeable coax stripping tool, two cutter heads for that tool (one for 735 cable and one for 734 cable), a CD3-19 flip flop dieset, a CT4L crimp tool, a 010-0133 test unit (for continuity and pin height), the RT1L BNC removal tool, and the Rollabout case.
