GSM/GPRS socket modem accelerates development
Altec Electronic AG has announced a compact GSM socket modem measuring 64.5 mm x 26.5 mm. This complete socket modem with integrated MMCX antenna connector, internal or external SIM card reader and serial interface accelerates time-to-market for embedded wireless solutions. Also, 3 V or 5 V versions are available. Dual-band EGSM 900/1800 MHz with GPRS Class 8 is supported. TCP/IP, multiplexing protocols and temperature range from –30°C to +85°C are additional features of this powerful module. This GSM socket modem is pin-to-pin compatible with its analog, ISDN and LAN modules. The Altec socket modems can be easily exchanged due to the socket design, offering flexibility.
