GaAs RoHS-compliant 0.5-3.0 GHz SPDT switch features ultra fast settling time

M/A-COM has released a new RoHS-compliant SPDT switch for applications that require ultra fast settling time, high linearity, low insertion loss, high isolation, and small size at a low price point. The ultra fast settling time of the MASWSS0192 switch allows time sensitive systems to respond faster without a reduction in RF performance.

Slow current transients during the turn-on phase are a typical problem for many standard SPDT switches in a variety of time sensitive applications. Test and measurement applications that require a quick response time can use the MASWSS0192 with its nominal settled on resistance of 2.5 Ohms with less than a 0.15 Ohm change after only 15 µs. Other key performance specifications for this SPDT are its high power handling with P1dB of 28.5 dBm, low typical insertion loss of 0.18 dB, and high isolation of 24 dB.

The MASWSS0192’s lead-free SC-70 (SOT-363) packaging and competitive pricing are attractive attributes for cost-sensitive and space-constrained applications. The MASWSS0192 is fabricated on a low-cost 0.5-micron gate-length GaAs pHEMT process and features full passivation for increased reliability. Each MASWSS0192 is 100% RF tested as well as DC tested for Gate Lag to ensure performance compliance.

The MAWSSS0192 is available from stock and is priced at $0.70 in quantities of 10 K.
