“At Wisair, our commitment to the UWB industry is twofold. Our mission has grown from charging ahead to deliver the industry’s first WiMedia-based chipsets and solutions to one where we are also focused on helping the industry more readily manufacture and adopt UWB and Certified Wireless USB technology,” noted Amir Freund, vice president of marketing at Wisair. “We understand that analyzers are a valuable component in the process of delivering interoperable and reliable end products to the market, and by collaborating with Ellisys and LeCroy we are ensuring that design engineers can measure, analyze and verify their UWB and wireless USB product developments.”

“The excellent RF characteristics of Wisair’s WiMedia-based chipset make it the best choice for a robust protocol analyzer,” said Mario Pasquali, co-founder of Ellisys. “Wisair has strongly supported Ellisys since early 2004 and helped Ellisys to be the pioneer company in UWB and WUSB protocol analysis product offerings. This successful collaboration is an important step toward the rapid growth of Certified Wireless USB, and highlights the strong commitment of Wisair and Ellisys in this promising market.”

Wisair’s relationship with Ellisys is reciprocal as Wisair has been using Ellisys’ Wireless USB analyzer since its early release. Freund further noted, “Ellisys’ analyzer greatly contributed toward helping our engineers develop our UWB and wireless USB protocol stack for current and next-generation silicon.”

James Wright, marketing director at LeCroy PSG, commented, “Wisair played an important role in helping us deliver our UWBTracer system, enabling the capture of over-the-air traffic within the wireless USB network in a non-intrusive way. Wisair gives us the capabilities to provide the powerful capture triggering and filtering that manufacturers require in a solution for their verification needs.”
