AFE Outfits DSP/FPGA/MCU-Based Systems
The CMX7861 analog front end (AFE) from CML Microcircuits combines codec, embedded signal processing, and auxiliary system support for interfacing between analog and digital systems.
For use in DSP-, FPGA-, and MCU-based systems, the CMX7861 analog front end (AFE) from CML Microcircuits combines codec, embedded signal processing, and auxiliary system support for interfacing between analog and digital systems. Features include programmable digital filters, a four-channel successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC), four digital-to-analog converters (DACs), general-purpose I/O (GPIO) subsystems, two synthesized clock generators, and a C-BUS/SPI master interface. The device supports two general operating modes: codec and modem. Codec mode is for applications requiring a general-purpose codec, and modem mode suits scenarios where the CMX7861 transmits and receives modulated data.
