4G/AWS Amplifier Improves Service on the AWS Band

Cellphone-Mate has announced that it is now shipping the industry’s first and only aftermarket FCC approved 4G/AWS (advanced wireless service) band bidirectional amplifier, the SureCall CM2100 62dB. This amplifier is designed for in-building use.

The Sure Call CM2100 62 dB improves data and voice service for all carriers that are on the AWS band, according to the company. It features independently adjustable uplinks and downlinks, and includes a low-heat and low-noise design in a metal casing.

T-Mobile and MetroPCS networks use the AWS band. AT&T has revealed that one of the reasons it is acquiring T-Mobile is that it intends to pair its 700-MHz spectrum with T-Mobile’s AWS spectrum to cover nearly 95% of the U.S. population with 4G service.
