Advanced design system software eases circuit design
Agilent Technologies Inc.'s Advanced Design System (ADS) 2004A is a new version of its high-frequency electronic design automation (EDA) software that offers improved ease-of-use and productivity for common circuit-design tasks.
It enables designers to easily access the functionality of ADS for common circuit-design tasks, including basic operations in schematic, simulation setup, linear simulation, tuning and viewing results. High-frequency EDA software vendors typically are forced to make a trade-off between creating a product with depth and flexibility to accomplish challenging design tasks, and one that is easy to use but limited in its capabilities. With ADS 2004A, this trade-off is not necessary.
It offers a complete, front-to-back high-frequency design, simulation, layout and verification solution in a single, integrated design flow. Other features include a new tuning interface, which provides real-time interactive performance along with dramatically improved user interface, simulation performance enhancements that dramatically reduce the time from simulation button down to displayed data up,and a new greeting dialog schematic wizard.
ADS 2004A is expected to be available in October 2004, with prices starting at approximately $8400.
