Embedded Module Integrates High-Speed Connectivity
The Novatel Wireless Expedite E120 embedded module is designed to integrate high-speed connectivity into mobile Internet devices (MIDs), e-books, and portable entertainment devices for 3G mobile data applications. It supports data download rates of up to 3.1 Mbits/s as well as GPS capability, enabling users to retrieve position data for navigation and location-based applications.
Powered by the Qualcomm MDM6085 chipset, the E120 offers high-performance data connections at 800 or 1900 MHz on CDMA EV-DO Rev. A and 1xRTT networks. It’s optimized for size, power efficiency, and weight, Novatel says, occupying 23% less volume than a standard PCI Express Mini Card while providing significantly greater heat dissipation. And according to the company, its software development kit includes a rich set of application programming interfaces.
