Spread-Spectrum Radios Serve Industrial Applications

Freewave Technologies has announced the release of its FGR2-IOS wireless spread-spectrum radios in various configurations for industrial applications at 900 MHz. The radios provide long-range remote control and monitoring of tanks, lifting stations, pumps, flow meters, fluid levels, water sources, temperatures, and pressures typical of the water/wastewater and oil and gas industries. The radios, which are available in a variety of I/O configurations, deliver data from remote analog and digital devices over a wireless link to a RTU or PLC. The FGR2-IOS 900-MHz spread-spectrum radios provide a line-of-sight range of 60 miles when operating with 1 W output power. They are also available with a solar-power kit for truly remote installations.
