Transimpedance amplifier/limiting amplifier ensures optimal communications

The new transimpedance amplifier/limiting amplifier (TIA/LIA) from Inphi Corporation, 1347TL, is least sensitive to cross talk between transmitters and receivers, ensuring optimal communications services. According to Inphi, the 11.3 Gbps 1347TL TIA)/LIA offers the highest stressed receiver sensitivity, lowest cross talk, highest gain, and lowest power for 1310-nm/1550-nm 10G-Ethernet and 10G-SONET optical communications.

For 10G-Ethernet applications, stressed receiver sensitivity is an important consideration as it assures “plug and play” and full compliance with IEEE 802.3ae standards over all operating conditions, stated the maker. The measured stressed receiver sensitivity of the 1347TL is better than –15 dBm (OMA) for 10GBASE-ER stress conditions exceeding the requirement by nearly 4 dB. Thus, directly contributing to higher manufacturing yield and lower cost for manufacturers of receivers.

The 1347TL-S02D is currently shipping in pre-production quantities and full production is expected to begin in second quarter.
