LNAs Polish HSPA/LTE Performance

Enhancing HSPA and Long-Term Evolution (LTE) system performance, the MAX2666 and MAX2668 low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) from Maxim Integrated Products employ three programmable gain states, allowing dynamic adjustment of linearity and sensitivity. In the face of adjacent-signal interference, users can boost gain to maintain optimum blocker performance.

Both devices deliver 15 dB of gain, specify a 1-dB noise figure, and operate over the I, IV, V, VI, VII, and X UMTS bands. Operating from a 2.7- to 3.3-V supply, they typically consume an operating current of 3.8 mA and less than 100 µA in the lowest gain mode. Available in six-pin land-grid array (LGA) packages with an operating temperature range from –40°C to 85°C, prices start at $0.65 each in lots of 1000.
