Designed for mobile phones, handheld MP3 player accessories, and other compact professional devices, the KLT series of top-actuated pico switches from C&K Components uses a 1.4-mm dome with a patented switch architecture that’s significantly smaller than the company’s KMT series of nano switches. The KLT series offers 1.0N, 1.6N, and 2.2N actuation forces and a 30% tactile minimum. They also measure 2.7 by 1.85 by 0.55 mm. With a 300,000-cycle lifespan, these halogen-free switches comply with the European Union’s Restrictions on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) as well. And, they have a 0.5-VA maximum power rating, a 32-V dc maximum voltage rating, and full functionality from –40°C to 85°C.
