LTE Gateway Reference Design Exploits Atlanta 2000 Processor

TranSwitch’s Long-Term Evolution (LTE) fixed wireless reference design employs an Atlanta 2000 communications processor to deliver broadband voice, video, and data services to homes and enterprises. The Atlanta 2000 integrates triple processor cores including a DSP, hardware security engines, and packet processing accelerators. In addition to the processor, the kit includes all necessary software featuring integration of the processor’s triple-play functionality with IMS-compliant voice over LTE deployment-ready stack, support for established dual-band 2x2 and 3x3 Wi-Fi 802.11n modems, certified OMA-DM and broadband forum management and provisioning, and dual stack IPv4/IPv6, hardware-based security and tunneling. Hardware highlights include single or dual hardware encryption engines, VLIW-architecture DSP supporting up to eight channels of wideband or narrowband codecs or 16 channels of G.711, comprehensive wire-line and wireless codec support, two USB 2.0 interfaces, and three Gb Ethernet ports.
