5-GHz Antennas And Signal Boosters Target 802.11a Applications
The Clear-WAV family from Luxul Wireless now includes X-WAV antennas and Shock-WAV signal boosters targeting the 802.11a 5-GHz band. Typically, walls and other solid objects absorb 802.11a signals. But with the company’s Clear-WAV circular polarization technology, the X-WAV antennas can mitigate these obstacles.
The X-WAV antennas also offer a wide range of gain and pattern options, suiting them for mid- to long-range backhaul links, sector coverage, and even broadcast point-to-multipoint applications. Designed for outdoor use, the Shock-WAV 5-GHz Wi-Fi signal booster implements Luxul’s Digital Automatic Gain Control (D-AGC) capability for the cleanest, most consistent signal amplification available for Wi-Fi networks, according to the company.
