Conduction-cooled loads support high power levels

MECA's CTN series of conduction-cooled loads feature excellent return loss across all rated bands, making them ideal for many base-station and RF/microwave-lab applications. Rated for a peak power of 5 kW, both models feature N-Male connectors and are designed for efficient heat transfer to an external heatsink (also available from MECA).

The CTN-250-1 operates from dc to 3.0 GHz and is rated for an average power of 250 W. From dc to 1.0 GHz, maximum VSWR is 1.10:1; for 1.0 GHz to 2.0 GHz, maximum VSWR is 1.15:1; for 2.0 GHz to 3.0 GHz, maximum VSWR is 1.30:1.

The CTN-500-1 operates from dc to 2.5 GHz, and is rated for an average power of 500 W. From dc to 1.0 GHz, maximum VSWR is 1.20:1; for 1.0 GHz to 2.2 GHz, maximum VSWR is 1.25:1; for 2.2 GHz to 2.5 GHz, maximum VSWR is 1.50:1. Both parts in this series are available now.
