Mixer Cuts Power Consumption In 4G Receivers
Trimming power consumption in multimode 4G RRH MIMO receivers, the Linear Technology LTC5569 dual RF mixer features a 26.8-dBm IIP3 figure and a power consumption of 300 mW per mixer.
Trimming power consumption in multimode 4G remote radio read (RRH) multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) receivers, the Linear Technology LTC5569 dual RF mixer features a 26.8-dBm third-order intermodulation intercept point (IIP3) figure and a power consumption of 300 mW per mixer. It operates over a 300-MHz to 4-GHz frequency range and is configurable to operate on all cellular bands from 700 MHz to 2.7 GHz. Each channel integrates a balun transformer at the RF and LO inputs. Measuring 4 by 4 mm in a quad flat no-lead (QFN) package, the LTC5569 specifies a case operating temperature from –40°C to 105°C and operates from a 3.3-V supply while drawing 180 mA when both channels are on. Price starts at $8.50 each/1000. For a datasheet, got to http://cds.linear.com/docs/Datasheet/5569f.pdf.
