Targeting small cells, macro basestations, and backhaul infrastructures, SoftClock SCi 2000 rel. 2.0 unfolds as the first multi-sync software clock solution to meet the synchronization requirements of Long-Term Evolution (LTE) and 4G equipment. The Symmetricom SCi 2000 SoftClock is essentially a carrier-grade, multiple-input software clock that allows systems to select from multiple sync inputs and provide the best clock output. Features include support for 50-ppb at air interface frequency requirements and a phase figure of ±1.5 ms, the ability to handle multiple sync standards including PTP 1588, SyncE, GPS, UTI and E1/T1, and the BesTime reference management algorithm, which takes multiple inputs and disciplines local oscillators to generate accurate clock outputs.
