TE Connectivity’s one-piece compressive board-to-board connector connects to a gold-plated secondary board via compression of the contacts. To enhance design flexibility, the component is scalable in a number of positions, height, and pitch. It is made of high-temperature thermal plastic and copper alloy and includes dimples on the contact area. The 0.08-mm co-planarity overall solder tails further reduce solder paste thickness, allowing for better accuracy and more applications. Target apps include mobile devices, cameras, and handheld GPS.
