pHEMT Switch Offers Low Insertion Loss, High Isolation
The Skyworks SKY13317-373LF pHEMT GaAs IC SP3T switch operates from 0.1 to 6.0 GHz. Designed for high-volume consumer products, it offers 0.25-dB insertion loss at 2.5 GHz and 0.9 dB at 6 GHz, as well as 25 dB of isolation up to 6 GHz.
The Skyworks SKY13317-373LF pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistor (pHEMT) gallium-arsenide (GaAs) IC single-pole triple-throw (SP3T) switch operates from 0.1 to 6.0 GHz (see the figure). Designed for high-volume consumer products, it offers 0.25-dB insertion loss at 2.5 GHz and 0.9 dB at 6 GHz, as well as 25 dB of isolation up to 6 GHz. Switching between the antenna (RFC) and RF1, RF2, RF3 ports is accomplished with three control voltages. The switch comes in a 1.5- by 1.5- by 0.45-mm MLP-8 plastic package that’s 44% smaller than the SKY13309-370LF and complies with the European Union’s Restrictions on Hazardous Substances (ROHS). Samples are available, and pricing depends on quantities.
