Providing a 12-MHz to 25-MHz frequency range, the XT23 and XT35 series ultra-miniature surface-mount device (SMD) quartz crystals from Vishay Intertechnology sport a low profile of 0.8 mm. The XT23 and XT35 come in ceramic packages measuring 3.2 by 2.5 mm and 5 by 3.2 mm, respectively, suiting them for use in handheld electronic devices such as PDAs, GPS units, MP3 players, notebook computers, PCMCIA cards, and Bluetooth communication equipment. Both series specify a frequency tolerance of ±30 ppm at +25°C and operate from 0°C to 70°C with a temperature stability of ±50 ppm. The XT23 specifies equivalent series resistances (ESRs) from 70 to 100 Ω while the XT35 specs 70 to 80 Ω. Single-unit pricing for either series is $0.46.
