Coaxial circulator suits military communications
REC’s coaxial circulator operates at the 225 MHz to 400 MHz frequency range for military communications applications. This lumped element circulator utilizes a proprietary design which preserves the symmetry between ports while maintaining a very broad performance. The unit is lightweight, made with an aluminum housing designed to provide an efficient heat dissipation path. Typical electrical performances from -40 °C to +85 °C are 16 dB isolation, 1.0 dB IL, 1.40:1 VSWR, radiation leakage below -100 dBc, and 2nd harmonic level less than –60 dBc.
The robust construction of the housing and involved electronic circuitry allows the circulator to sustain mechanical shocks and vibrations specified by military flight standards. This makes the circulator suitable for both ground and airborne applications. Size is 2.05 in. x 2.58 in. x 1.14 in. An isolator is also available with power handling up to 60 W CW.
