Remote-Control Code Learning IC Packs Signal Detection And Processing
Sculpted for universal remote controllers, tablets, and smart phones, Vishay Intertechnology’s VSOP98260 takes title as the industry’s first remote-control-code learning IC to integrate signal detection and processing. Compatible with all remote-control data formats, the device promises to simplify code learning by amplifying and shaping received signals with the infrared emitter present in these devices. It receives any carrier frequency from 20 kHz to 60 kHz and operates on a supply voltage/current from 2 V to 3.6 V and 0.6 mA to 0.9 mA. Residing in a 2- by 2-mm quad flat no-lead (QFN) package with a height of 0.7 mm, the VSOP98260 operates from –25°C to 85°C and complies with WEEE 2002/96/EC. Pricing starts at $0.40 each in 3000-piece quantities. A datasheet is available at www.vishay.com/docs/82447/vsop98260.pdf.
