Renaissance Electronics has introduced a line of one-inch-square surface-mount coplanar circulators and isolators for high-power applications, the SMC Series. These circulators provide high-power performance in the congested multi-carrier environment. Models are available in typical bandwidths of 10% to 15%. They provide isolation greater than 22 dB, and an insertion loss of less than 0.35 dB. The VSWR range of these devices is from 1.20:1 to 1.22:1. The devices are rated for forward power levels of 50 W to 100 W, and peak power from 500 W to 1 kW. They operate from –10 °C to +80 °C. The operating frequency range is 800 MHz to 2.5 GHz.
