Right-Angle Connector Features Snap-On Interface

RF Connectors, a division of RF Industries, has launched a solderless right-angle QMA connector with a snap-on interface that allows mating and unmating without tools. The firm's part number RQA-5010-8X is similar to the internal configuration of an SMA connector with the exception of a sliding snap-lock mechanism that works with another connector by sliding the connector shell back and releasing to lock both mated connectors in place. After mating, QMA connectors can be rotated 360 deg. The new solderless right-angle QMA connector is designed to mate with all QMA jacks, and provides good electrical performance through 6 GHz.
