RLC Electronics’ micro miniature SMA switch is an SPDT type. The switch incorporates SMA female connectors to allow high-density packaging and excellent electrical performance through 26.5 GHz. The switch is available in failsafe and latching configurations, with a choice of three different frequency ranges (dc to 8 GHz, dc to 18 GHz, and dc to 26.5 GHz), and three different coil voltages.

The coil currents for the three voltage options are as follows: 310 mA for 5 Vdc, 130 mA for 12 Vdc, and 75 mA for 28 Vdc. The maximum switching time is 15 ms, and the impedance of the switching contacts is 50 Ω. The switching sequence is break-before-make, and the device is rated for 1,000,000 switching cycles. The switch operates in environmental conditions according to MIL-DTL-3928.
