Embarking as the latest member of the Modem Compute Engine (MCE) family of soft-modem IP cores, it takes the current LTE-capable MCE120 architecture to a higher performance level by adding processing resources meeting requirements of LTE-A and other algorithmically intensive apps. Simplifying LTE-to-LTE-A upgrades, MCE160 is code compatible with MCE120 and has ample support via a comprehensive suite of software development tools. The licensable core employs the company’s vector signal processor (VSP) technology and delivers more than 250 Goperations/s of processing power.
