New packaging options for high-reliability clock oscillators

Vectron International has announced two hybrid oscillator options for its OS-68338 “1100 series” family of high-reliability clock oscillators. The 1116 (ACMOS) and 1117 (TTL) J-lead SMT series are ruggedized versions of the MIL-PRF-55310/27 and MIL-PRF-55310/28 products and offer the highest expectations for a MIL hybrid clock, reduce the mounting footprint and preserve the same environmentally rugged construction as other product families. The 1115 (ACMOS) half-DIP series is a 4-pin DIP nearly half the length of a conventional 14-pin DIP device, which also simplifies trace routing and reduces PTH count.

The new introductions retain the features of Vectron’s four-point crystal mount and proven Class S- manufacturing processes, providing customers with predictable levels of performance quality. All OS-68338 devices exceed stringent MIL-STD-202 vibration and shock levels normally imposed for tactical and space flight environments and are available in optional radiation-hardened designs with swept quartz for the most extreme operational environments. The new packaging options were designed for standard 5.0 VDC operation but are also selectively available for optional 3.3 VDC input.
