Multichannel EMI filters come in ultra-compact leadless packages

Vishay Intertechnology has released three new four-, six-, and eight-channel EMI filters in the ultra-compact LLP leadless packages. With a low profile of 0.6 mm and a pitch between pin to pin of 0.4 mm, the new VEMI filter arrays are designed to save board space and provide ESD protection in portable electronics for mobile computing, mobile communication, consumer, industrial, automotive, and medical applications. The new arrays include the four-channel VEMI45AA-HNH, the six-channel VEMI65AA-HCI, and the eight-channel VEMI85AA-HGK. The new devices are capable of attenuating unwanted signals by more than 30 dB over the 900 MHz up to 2.3 GHz frequency range, with a resistance of 100 Ω and an input capacitance of 60 pF. Low leakage current helps to prolong battery life.

All three devices provide transient protection for data lines as per IEC6100042 (ESD) at 30 kV (air and contact discharge) and IEC6100045 (lightning) from 4 A (tp=8/20μs). They also are compliant with RoHS2002/95/EC and WEEE2002/96/EC.

Samples of the new EMI filter arrays in the leadless LLP package are available now. Production quantities will be available this quart Pricing for U.S. delivery is $12/100 pieces for the VEMI45AA-HNH; $14/100 pieces for the VEMI65AA-HCI; and $16/100 pieces for the VEMI85AA-HG.
