Quad analog switches suit power and communications
Vishay Intertechnology’s series of quad SPST CMOS analog switches combine high switching speeds with high signal bandwidth for use in a wide range of switching applications, including audio, video, data, and power. The DG451 and DG454 series of devices have four independently selectable 44 V SPST switches, each with a typical on resistance of 4 Ù and a typical flatness of 0.2 Ù. Each switch conducts equally in both directions and can handle an input-signal range that extends to the supply voltage rails (+/- 15 V maximum).
All the devices are pin-compatible with the Vishay Siliconix DG411, DG412, and DG413, but with significantly lower on resistance and faster switching times. Additionally, the DG454 series offers the benefit of not requiring a logic voltage pin, and all digital inputs have 0.8 V and 2.4 V logic thresholds. The DG451 and DG454 are normally closed, while the DG452 and DG455 are normally open. The devices are offered in a choice of TSSOP16 or SOIC-16 packages, and priced at $1.95 each for 1000 pieces.
