Wireless Device Antenna Offers Wide Bandwidth
The Maxblade internal wireless device antenna from Laird Technologies operates in the 2.3- to 6-GHz WiMAX frequency band with gains of 2.1 and 4 dBi. Specifically designed to be embedded inside devices for aesthetically pleasing integration with high durability, it features wide bandwidth that augments wireless applications with a single-antenna design including 802.11 a/b/g, 802.16, and Bluetooth. Its polarization provides a vertical and omnidirectional radiation pattern at all frequencies with increased gain in the upper bands for optimal coverage.
“The new embedded MaxBlade antenna is designed to work in WiMAX frequencies where successful wireless deployment is necessary,” said Quaid Rasheed, Laird Technologies BWA antenna product manager. “Along with a higher gain than previous embedded wireless device antennas, the Maxblade antenna provides an invisible solution for most wireless applications.”
The antenna complies with the European Union’s Restrictions on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and includes a coaxial cable pigtail with various connector choices.
