AVX Corporation has introduced its LD series of multilayer ceramic capacitors that offer tin-lead solder terminations, with 5% lead minimum.

"In the stampede to be RoHS-compliant, some manufacturers are ignoring the industries and applications that still need lead-containing termination," said Larry Eisenberger, AVX product manager. "The LD series MLCCs meet the needs of the military and aerospace applications where tin-lead solder terminations are required."

The LD series is available in a wide range of sizes, from 0402 to 0612, with voltage ratings from 6.3 V to 500 V. Pricing for the LD Series ranges from $0.01 to $0.50 in volume. Delivery is eight weeks.
