Patriot awarded contract for 1.8 m antennas
Patriot Antenna Systems has been awarded a contract to supply more than 1500 1.8-meter C-band VSAT antennas to Smart Digital Communications in Malaysia. The commission was achieved through Patriot's partner office, Patriot India.
The new satellite network is part of the Malaysian government's National Broadband Plan, which will provide high-speed internet access to more than 1500 schools. Future use for these systems includes distance learning and Voice-over-IP. The target date for completion is late August of 2004.
