Electromagnetic (EM) software simulators are powerful tools in predicting the performance of RF and microwave circuits, but they tend to devour processing power and take time to run. Fortunately, users of Microwave Studio® software from Computer Simulation Technology (CST) can gain as much as 40 percent in processing speed with the help of an accelerator program from Acceleware® Corp. The accelerator, based on compute unified device architecture (CUDA) technology, uses NVIDIA's CUDA programming language developed by NVIDIA to solve complex problems to benefit in processing speed when using multicore, parallel-processing computer systems.
