Anite and 4M Wireless to Demonstrate Multi-RAT Capable LTE Products
Anite has announced the demonstration of multiple radio access technology (multi-RAT) capable Long Term Evolution (LTE) products. These solutions will enable LTE baseband chipset vendors to reduce both their time and cost to market, while meeting industry standards.
At the 2011 Mobile World Congress exhibition in Barcelona, Anite and 4M Wireless will show multi-mode LTE/UMTS bi-directional handover scenarios such as connected mode handover between LTE and UMTS while simultaneously transferring a packet switched video stream. The demonstrations by the two companies will highlight the completeness of their offerings.
The demonstrations utilize Anite’s Development Toolset (DT) on SAT(H) protocol test solution. Development Toolset is a comprehensive suite of tools supporting all phases of wireless terminal development, from pre-silicon protocol module development, through to systems integration and verification. Coupled with Anite’s host platform SAT(H), DT is the only solution in the market today that enables chipset vendors to test early stage implementations prior to hardware involvement.
The 4M Wireless PS100 LTE terminal stack is fully compliant to the latest 3GPP specification and includes Layer 2, Layer 3 and NAS sub-layers as well as multi-RAT LTE features. The protocol stack is architected for system-on-a-chip (SoC) implementations and optimized for low-power consumption and high-speed operation.
