Comtech Telecommunications Corporation has announced that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation, has received orders totaling $2.7 million for its mobile satellite data communications transceivers. The orders will supply Comtech’s Model 2011E mobile satellite data transceivers to the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below Blue Force Tracking (FBCB2-BFT) program, a battle command real-time situational awareness and control system. Although the awards relate to the FBCB2-BFT program, the orders were placed against the company's U.S. Army movement tracking system contract. Total orders received to date against the $418.2 million MTS contract increased to $361.4 million.

Fred Kornberg, Comtech president, said, "We are pleased to continue our participation in this important program which enables communications when troops are beyond line-of-sight range on the battlefield."

Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation, a Germantown, Md.-based company, is engaged in the provision of satellite-based packet data communication systems and location and messaging services through the use of advanced communication and network technology.
