Front Porch helps free-hotspot.com win ''Best Public Wi-Fi Product''
Front Porch has announced that its PorchLight technology helped free-hotspot.com win the Wireless Broadband Innovation (WBI) award for "Best Public Wi-Fi Product for 2006." Known as "the Oscars" of the industry, the WBI awards recognize leadership, innovation and excellence in wireless broadband.
Daniel C. Toomey, Jr., CEO of free-hotspot.com, said his firm was selected from more than 150 entrants from 30 countries. "We're honored to win this coveted award, and we're thrilled that our partnership with Front Porch has enabled us to be so successful. Front Porch's solutions for messaging, redirection, and targeted advertising have exceeded our expectations and allowed us to grow Europe's largest and fastest-growing free Wi-Fi HotSpot network."
The Front Porch solutions enable network providers to deliver any content to any user, any time they surf the Web. The free-hotspot.com network uses Front Porch technology to direct users to a terms-of-service web page and welcome portal pages, and to deliver other valuable local information directly to users' browsers during their surfing sessions. The solutions subsidize HotSpot venues' access costs and deliver targeted online promotions for owners, community and business partners.
