Cirronet's ZigBee modules join company's family of RoHS-compliant wireless OEM products
Cirronet's ZigBee wireless OEM modules, the ZMN-2400HP (high RF power) and the low-cost ZMN-2400, are available in full restrictions on hazardous substances (RoHS) compliance for quantity orders. These modules, which come with a complete ZigBee stack and are not simply 802.15.4 implementations, join Cirronet's proprietary WIT2410 and WIT2450 modules in the company's growing lead-free product line.
After July 1, all electronic products sold in European Union member countries must have limited amounts of six hazardous materials. Any non-compliant products remaining with resellers or distributors will likely be returned to their manufacturers.
Cirronet RoHS-compliant products use the original part number with a "-G" added at the end, meaning that the RoHS-compliant ZMN-2400HP is part number ZMN-2400HP-G. Pricing for the RoHS-compliant modules is unchanged from the original modules.
