Triple-play features for the cruise ship market
Insystcom Inc. has announced triple-play features on its SeaLynx Wi-Fi system for the cruise ship market. The company brings its expertise in Wi-Fi delivery and services from the hospitality market where it services resorts, time shares and recreational properties.
SeaLynx Wi-Fi offers the following:
- It is in every cabin without a new cable system--it’s already there.
- It means availability and privacy in the cabin for business communications-- not a hotspot.
- No waiting in an Internet café--guests have this communication system when they need it.
- It is a “point of sale” revenue-producing system with security and credit card charging capability and revenue for advertising.
- It provides a link to the ship's reservation and information systems.
“Our experience in Wi-Fi system usage in resorts, time shares and recreational properties lead us to believe that the same dramatic growth exists at sea. The advantage of the SeaLynx design using existing telephone cabling with its voice usage is even more important in a ship,” said Wil Riner, CEO of Insystcom Inc. “These facts can be even more important today to this important, growing market.”
