LCC solidifies its market leadership in WiMAX space
LCC International has reported contracts with a North American WiMAX carrier and a media entertainment company that combined represents an initial value of $2.4 million in 2007 revenues.
The initial agreements allow LCC to leverage its capabilities and tools developed for the WiMAX marketplace. LCC said it is because of its leadership position around WiMAX technologies.
“These contracts reflect our success in building out LCC’s WiMAX advanced solutions offering and our investment in a sales organization capable of complex technical and business solutions,” said Dean Douglas, LCC president and CEO. “We have a strong commitment to WiMAX services and are now seeing real growth around an evolving wireless marketplace based on our WiMAX capabilities and skills.”
Within the first agreement, LCC is providing a suite of technical and engineering services to a North American WiMAX carrier.
“LCC is well positioned to deliver premium network solutions based on unique tools and services around wireless broadband technologies,” continued Douglas. “LCC’s value is in our extensive broadband experience and our ability to offer operators advanced quality of service and network services centered on 4G technologies.”
Under a separate agreement, LCC will expand its business strategy and consulting services around WiMAX technology for a media entertainment client.
“Our customers continue to leverage the rich experience that our Research and Innovation organization offers around WiMAX technologies,” said Kenny Young, LCC’s chief marketing officer. “Through our WiView Solution under LCC’s TotalView tool-based services umbrella, we are able to provide in-depth insight into various business and technical models that maximize our client’s investments within wireless broadband services.”
