U.S. Marine Corps awards $75 million contract for AN/PRC-150 (C) high-frequency radios
Harris Corporation has been awarded an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a maximum value of $75 million to supply the U.S. Marine Corps with Harris Falcon II HF radios, spares and training. Known as the AN/PRC-150(C), this radio is said to be the only HF radio with embedded communications security to be certified for transmission of U.S. classified information. It is designed to meet the demanding security requirements of military forces around the world.
Harris RF Communications Division is a supplier of secure voice and data communications products, systems and networks to military, government and commercial organizations worldwide. The company's four operating divisions serve markets for government communications, tactical radio and microwave systems.
