Mobile WiMAX protocol conformance test lab uses Agilent test gear
The WiMAX Forum accredited lead lab in Malaga, Spain, the AT4 wireless, has announced that it will be using Agilent Technologies’ N6430A WiMAX protocol conformance test (PCT) and development solution based on Agilent E6651A mobile WiMAX test set.
According to Agilent, the N6430A PCT solution delivers a comprehensive suite of test equipment for 802.16-2004/Cor2 D3 mobile WiMAX PCT and development testing with a scripting interface to a fully functional radio bearer. The E6651A portfolio of solutions supports many R&D testing needs in addition to PCT, including basestation emulation, RF parametric measurements, and radiated performance testing (RPT), said Agilent..
"PCT is a critical part of the WiMAX Forum certification testing process," said Fernando E. Hardasmal, deputy general manager, AT4 wireless.
"AT4 wireless was appointed as the first worldwide WiMAX Forum designated certification laboratory. Agilent's test system perfectly complements AT4 wireless labs' existing capabilities for WiMAX certification," said Jose de la Plaza, wireless laboratory manager, AT4 wireless. "It also helps us to reinforce our position as the WiMAX Forum lead lab", he added.
