NemeriX releases high-performance, low-power Bluetooth reference design
NemeriX has announced the NB1050, a new reference design that helps OEMs, ODMs and third-party developers reduce the time, cost and complexity associated with creating Bluetooth-enabled GPS applications for handheld devices.
The NemeriX NB1050 features the NJ1836 GPS receiver, which is a single package GPS receiver that includes an RF receiver, baseband processor and Flash memory and the STM2500C Bluetooth receiver. The NB1050 demonstrates a single small form factor PCB (18 x 27) on which all components are directly mounted. The final result is a ultralow current consumption (lower than 40 mA), which allows several days of operation on a single battery charge, as opposed to most current designs that use multiple PCB's with several hours of operation.
