New Zealand Army awards $2.9 million contract for virtual training systems
FATS Inc. has been awarded a contract in the amount of $2.9 million to manufacture and deliver new training and simulation solutions to the New Zealand Army Weapons Simulator System program. The systems are scheduled for delivery by June 2006.
The award includes virtual small arms trainers (SAT) and associated simulated weapons for basic to advanced-level marksmanship and judgmental or shoot/don't shoot training. SAT provides centralized control of all training, monitors student status and performance, and replays training for after action reviews.
FATS Inc. designs and sells virtual training systems. The company serves U.S. and international customers from its headquarters in Suwanee, Ga, with branch offices in Australia, Canada, Netherlands and United Kingdom.
