Nokia Announces 3G Notebook
Known for its cell phones, Nokia has entered the notebook market with its Booklet 3G. This fully functional Windows-based device provides up to 12 hours of battery life. It comes in an aluminum chassis, weighs 1.25 kg, and is less than 2 cm thick. Also, its connectivity options include 3G/HSPA and Wi-Fi for high-speed access to the Internet, including Nokia’s suite of Ovi mobile services.
The Booklet 3G includes an HDMI port for HD video out, a front-facing camera for video calling, integrated Bluetooth, and an easily accessible SD card reader. It also features a 10-in. glass HD-ready display and an integrated A-GPS, which works with the Ovi Maps gadget to pinpoint position in seconds and open up access for personal map experiences. And with Ovi Suite, users can sync the Booklet 3G with their Nokia smart phones, their laptops, and with the cloud.
