Nujira expands operations in Pacific Rim
Envelope tracking technology developer Nujira has announced plans for the expansion of its operations in Japan and China. Consequently, the company is establishing a dedicated facility in Japan to enhance the sales and technical support it can offer to its Japanese customers. Concurrently, it is also expanding its sales network in China.
“We’re seeing tremendous traction for Nujira’s technology amongst the Japanese infrastructure vendors”, said Tim Haynes, the CEO of Nujira. “Japan is well known for being a receptive market that is quick to adopt new technologies. Japanese network operators are keen to deploy additional wireless broadband capacity, either through 3G and evolved 3G or by using WiMAX. Nujira’s technology can help these operators make significant savings in their network power consumption, through the use of dramatically more efficient RF power amplifiers”.
“China is another important market for Nujira, especially since Chinese wireless infrastructure vendors have the potential to take an increasing share of new network roll-outs around the world”, noted Haynes.
Nujira’s high accuracy tracking (HAT) technology dynamically modulates the RF power amplifier (PA) supply voltage to provide a significant improvement in the efficiency of linear amplifiers, such as those used for W-CDMA and OFDM systems, from a typical figure of around 15% to more than 50%., according to Nujira.
