Omni-directional Antennas Support 802.11, Bluetooth and ZigBee
Pulse, a Technitrol Company, introduced a series of antennas designed for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of wireless devices. The antennas are compatible with IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth and ZigBee applications, as well as with other devices that use Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) frequency bands.
The antennas are omni-directional, providing broad 360-degree coverage to improve point-to-multipoint transmission and reception between devices on wireless local area networks.
Pulse's W1000-Series of antennas contains six models characterized by their frequency and gain. These antennas operate from 2.4 GHz to 2.5 GHz and 5.15 GHz to 5.85 GHz nominal frequency, are omni-directional and have an impedance of 50 Ω. Four of the models offer decibel gain (dBi) at approximately 2.0 dBi. Two models provide a "high gain" performance of more than 3.0 dBi. All models are dipole with a fundamental resonance of 1/4 wavelength and vertical polarization. Pulse antennas are RoHS- (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant.
Pricing begins in the $4 to $5 range at low volumes. Lead-time is six to eight weeks. Each antenna is bagged individually for volume shipping. Detailed specifications are available on data sheet WC713 at http://www.pulseeng.com/pdf/WC713.pdf.
