Ultra-low-noise oscillator housed in a cube, 1.25 inch on a side, covers 8 GHz to 18 GHz
Teledyne Microwave's new ultra-low-phase noise, 8 GHz to 18 GHz oscillator is housed in a cubic package, just 1.25 in. on a side. It is T-M's FS2637 and though designed primarily for the test and instrumentation markets, it is also well suited for high-frequency communication and electronic warfare applications. The FS2637 delivers a typical phase noise performance of -128 dBc/Hz at 100-kHz offset across the 8 GHz to 18 GHz band. Output power is +13 dBm typical and spurious outputs are down as much as -60 dBc. Tuning sensitivity is 20 MHz/mA.
Optional analog and digital drivers are available and the FS2637 can be provided in commercial and military versions.
