Oscilloscopes pack deep-memory performance in a lunchbox-sized instrument
Said to offer 100 times more memory than competing portable oscilloscopes, Agilent Technologies' new 5000 series oscilloscopes merge high-resolution, lab-quality waveform acquisition and measurement capability in a light weight, portable enclosure. This will enable high-resolution measurement capability that in the past required larger, more expensive instrumentation to be taken wherever they are needed — either in the field or on the bench.
Able to deliver a 100,000 window frame-per-second acquisition rate — and said to be more than 25 times faster than the next-closest competitor — the 5000 series can thereby provide a powerful glitch-capturing capability. A high-definition XGA display system depicts signals at 256 levels of intensity, thereby highlighting varying degrees of signal intensity.
The Agilent 5000 series oscilloscopes includes a full suite of connectivity standards, including front- and back-panel USB ports, GPIB, LAN and XGA-out.
Pricing of the six versions of the 5000 series with bandwidths from 100 MHz to 500 MHz range from $4050 to $9995.
